What is Carbon Footprint?
Carbon footprint refers to the sum of greenhouse gas emissions caused directly or indirectly by a person, business or product. The most well-known greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide (CO₂), but other gases such as methane (CH₄) and nitrous oxide (N₂O) are also included. The carbon footprint is usually measured in tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (CO₂e).
